Immune Factors in Plants for Cancer, Hepatitis, C, and HIV

Lorna Vanderhaeghe, Ph.D.

LORNA VANDERHAEGHE, HEALTH JOURNALIST, B.S., Nutritional Biochemistry, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, British Columbia, is the editor of two health periodicals: Healthy Living Guide, and Alive. She co-wrote Fats that Heal, Fats that Kill, the Kitchen Guide with Udo Erasmus, Ph.D, and The Immune System Cure with Patrick Bouic, Ph.D. She is also senior editor for the Encyclopedia of Natural Healing, for which she won the Benjamin Franklin Award in 1998. For five years, she worked under the direction of Abraham Hoffer, M.D., co-founder (with Linus Pauling) of the Society for Orthomolecular Medicine.

The Immune System Cure provides her simple techniques for super-charging the immune system to resist and prevent disease with proper diet, stress reduction, and nutritional supplementation. In this video, Ms. Vanderhaeghe discusses two decades of clinical research on plant sterols and sterolins. These phytosterols, discovered in 1922, are now known to regulate the immune system by either boosting underactive immune functions, helping prevent cancer and other degenerative diseases, or balancing overactive immune responses that cause auto immune diseases.

In this video, Immune Factors in Plants for Cancer, Hepatitis C & HIV, Ms. Vanderhaeghe shares her laest research.
