BRADFORD WEEKS, M.D. After 2 years of research at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston with Bob Neer, M.D. on calcium metabolism in osteoporosis and Michael Hollick, Ph.D. on Vitamin D metabolism, he received his Medical Degree in 1989 from the University of Vermont Medical School in Burlington.
It was here that Dr. Weeks moonlighted for 4 years with legendary beekeeper and Master Apitherapist Charlie Mraz at his home in Middlebury, Vermont. Dr. Weeks completed his Medical Internship in Psychiatry/Neurology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, located in Lebanon, New Hampshire in 1993 followed by an informal Nutritional Medicine “fellowship” with Jonathan Wright, M.D. at his Tacoma Clinic in Washington for 9 months. At the same time, he focused on Orthomolecular Psychiatry and has worked closely with Abram Hoffer, M.D. in Victoria, B.C., Canada ever since.
Dr. Weeks opened the Weeks Clinic for Corrective Medicine and Psychiatry in 1993 on Whidbey Island in Washington where he utilizes the principles of Anthroposophical Medicine and strives to correct the imbalances of his patients by addressing their imbalances of biochemistry, lifestyle habits, emotions and purpose and commitment. Typically, patients seek his care for the treatment of cancer, cardio vascular disease, diabetes, MS and arthritis.
The other main aspect of his Practice is the treament of patients suffering with psychotic illnesses seeking to correct the problem. Lastly, Dr. Weeks believes that “The Rest of your Days depends upon the Rest of your Nights.” This is the title of his book in press and so for the past 5 years, he has focused on correcting sleep disorders in his patients.
Dr. Weeks is an internationally known champion of Corrective Medicine and lectures to physician groups. He is on the Board fo the International Schizophrenia Foundation with Dr. Abram Hoffer. As regard to his work with Venoms, he is the President of the International Apitherapy Society and formerly was the Founding President of the American Apitherapy Society as well as the Editor of its Journal, BeeWell, for 8 years. Dr. Weeks also edited the textbook called Burns Regenerative Medicine and Therapy. The books tell about MEBO (moist exposed burn ointment), which offers corrective treatment of serious burns using a product that features honeybee wax.
